Meet a member of the CFC 2011 Conference Social Media Squad: Taylor Barrie of The Calgary Foundation

We’re incredibly excited about strengthening involvement in social media, and we look forward to making it a meaningful part of the conference in Vancouver.   We are delighted to introduce members of the Social Media Squad, a team of conference attendees who will participate in social media activities in real-time at the CFC 2011 Conference in Vancouver this May.

Here we learn from Taylor Barrie of  The Calgary Foundation about the foundation’s current work in social media.

As Communications Assistant at The Calgary Foundation, Taylor Barrie is the go-to girl when it comes to social media. Understanding the power of social media in helping organizations connect with supporters, Taylor uses Twitter and Facebook as tools to engage with the Calgary community and share our knowledge of charitable giving and grantmaking. Connecting through social media provides a way for TCF to engage in meaningful two way dialogue with concerned and connected citizens, and ensures that stories of our work achieve maximum impact.
