Community Foundations of Canada represents the Canadian community foundation movement, made up of more than 170 community foundations located in cities, towns, and rural areas across Canada. Community vitality has been our purpose and passion since 1921, when our movement started connecting donors to community needs and opportunities, and helping them invest in building strong and resilient places to live, work, and play.
Our 11th conference, called “A World of Opportunity,” will be held May 12-14, 2011 at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre – a premiere event for the philanthropic sector, attracting community foundations and speakers from around the world. The conference will be hosted in conjuction with the Vancouver Foundation and will welcome more than 700 participants from both Canada and abroad.
